In this issue...

In this issue, we have a detailed article on Test Driven Development: Part I - TFC.

Abstract: In this first of the three part series on Test Driven Development, we focus on using NUnit to write our test cases and will illustrate the benefit of writing the test first coding, which is to write the tests before writing the code. In Part II we will look at Mock objects and related frameworks, and in Part III we will look at continuous integration. Quiz from the past issue

In Java, at runtime, how do I determine the location (on disk) of the Jar file/.class file for a class?

Answer!

The first response for this quiz came from Aarti who says that you may get it from the ClassLoader. Yes and alternately, you may also get it as shown below: Let’s say we have a class named MyClass. You can find the location of the Jar by calling

MyClass.class.getProtectionDomain().getCodeSource().getLocation();
